dc.description.abstract | Assimilation of the ancient wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita with practical lessons from today s environment provides a novel and contemporary approach to the subject of people management. To name the few, Motivation, Leadership, Decision-making, Counselling are some aspects, which are contemplated in Gita in course of spiritual discourse at wartime. This paper reviews the state of art of current management literature on aforesaid people management topics through the parables set out in the Bhagavad Gita. This paper is in danger of missing the richness and depth of the Gita by having to focus on a narrow use of the text to explore and relate to the modern world of management. With this caveat in mind, the paper concludes illustrating complementary nature of philosophical knowledge of Bhagavad Gita with the modern management concepts. | |
