dc.description.abstract | Value Models are used in business context for various reasons especially in B2B marketing. This is the first instance when this model has been used for internal Shared Services group. The intention of this study was to come up with a framework for the implementation of this model so that the same could be replicated for all the shared services in the organization. The outcome of this project is the framework based on Balanced Scorecard that would enable the shared services groups to move away from cost discussions to focus on providing higher value to its customers. The organization of the report is as under: Introduction: This section briefly describes the context of the project so that there is an understanding of the environment. Background: It describes the company under study. This study has been targeted for one shared service alone. There is a brief discussion on this shared service as well. New Model For Shared Services: This section details the context in which the current initiatives are running and how the new framework can evolve out of this. It deals with some contentious issues on coexistence of the various models that are operational for strategic reasons. This section also details on how the value model framework could be utilized to provide inputs for the balanced scorecard development. Balanced Scorecard: This section deals with the complete framework on how the inputs from the various models can be converged together to implement the balanced scorecard for the shared service. This uses a two level scorecard for alignment of the shared service groups with the service lines. A linkage scorecard would link the objectives of the shared service scorecard with the external world. Framework in Practice for Corporate Treasury: Runs through the framework approach for one service line for the corporate treasury Conclusions: Highlights the conclusions from this study. Recommendations: Few points that the Management team should be aware of for successful implementation of this model. | |
