Keywords: | Business management | Issue Date: | 2007 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGSEM-PR-P7-30 | Abstract: | Mission: Our mission is to train, develop and empower rural IT students and thereby providing equal employment opportunity to them. The Need: Smart rural college graduates find it extremely difficult to get a good break at the early stage of their career. On the other hand, there is a huge demand for 'skilled' resources in IT sector. Our idea is to build a 'self-sufficient' business to serve both and be able to make an impact to society at large. Project Objective: In this project we have evaluated the feasibility and potential of creating a new Business Venture to bridge the corporate demand for resources and supply of quality rural and semi urban talent in India. The objective of this project was to1. Evaluate the market feasibility2. Estimate the market size and potential for this business.3. Develop a value proposition from the perspective of Corporate Students Institutes4. Create a Business Plan including financial projections, cash flow estimates and funding requirement for business. Our end objective is to create a 'self-sufficient' business to serve rural mass that is in line with our thinking of "Capitalist mind and socialist heart" | URI: | http://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/123456789/10453 |
