dc.description.abstract | This project is a study on web 2.0 business models and its use for businesses of the future. The landscape of the internet is changing rapidly with several waves of several web 2.0 services like YouTube, Facebook and Blogs. These applications are fundamentally changing the way the business models are played on the internet and in the real-world. Hence, it is of utmost interest of everyone to understand these disruptive business models. The objective of the project was to: Analyze examples and categorize the different business models available in the next generation of software popularly called Web 2.0 . Study the true distinguishing features of Web 2.0 business models. Come out with success factors for a successful Web 2.0 based business model. Come out with strategies for successful Enterprise 2.0 implementation Methodology that we followed for the project: Research into the history, present status. Study comments about the future of Web 2.0 business models. Industry analysis of this niche using primary research. Deep study of certain examples of successful web 2.0 business models. Deep study of enterprise 2.0 concept Analyzed examples of enterprise 2.0 solutions by reputed organisations Developed strategies for successful implementation of enterprise 2.0 Reference material that we studied: Internet websites and blogs of repute. Books like Wikinomics, Enterprise 2.0. Business Journals like HBR, ICT related journals etc. Primary research with industry veterans in Bangalore. | |
