Abstract: Weekend getaways or short-break holidays are an expanding global phenomenon, attributed to more complex and stressful lifestyles within affluent or upper middle class societies. As more and more people take shorter holidays to break the monotony of work, the growth of the short break or weekend getaway is expected to see a massive uptrend. This project endeavours to develop framework for analyzing the attractiveness of weekend getaway business. The main purpose is to build this framework in such a way that it can help anyone to assess weekend getaways market in any country and make an informed decision whether to dive into weekend getaway business or not in that particular country. The parameters used in this framework are fairly generic and can be evaluated for all geographies. In this project we used the framework to assess the weekend getaway business potential in Singapore and UAE. These are target geographies that Life is outside , weekend getaway solution in India, and is looking to expand. We have also discussed the possible business or operational model that can be looked at when starting a weekend getaway business. These models are discussed keeping in mind the stakeholders and time to market for a weekend getaway business.
