dc.description.abstractThe Internet of Things is an exciting technology area where a lot of interest has been diverted and things change on a constant basis bringing out newer possibilities. The project team wanted to explore the market dynamics existing in this segment and hence this project. Through the project, the following topics have been explored - 1) Exploration of the global IOT scenario in terms of technology development and the various business verticals and solutions that currently exist 2) Further study into the smart buildings and smart homes verticals where a lot of action has been happening with numerous active start-ups providing various solutions 3) Primary research was undertaken to meet start-up companies in Bangalore to understand their business models and customer value that they have to offer 4) The business models of these companies have been analyzed using various models 5) The customer value proposition of the smartrhomes company has been analyzed and a marketing strategy for its growth has been developed through this project report
