Abstract: This course project is aimed at the feasibility study of usage of analytics by SMBs in India. As part of the project, we tried to understand and analyze the current usage of analytics in various SMBs in India categorized under the three heads: § Micro § Small, and § Medium Enterprises / Business Analyzing the overall SMB market-size, share and growth in India, we identified key categories within SMBs to focus on and performed an in-depth analysis of SMBs in each of these six high-level categories: § Food § Textiles § Hospitality § Healthcare § Single-Brand retailers § Multi-brand retailers Based on the data we gathered through direct interaction with multiple firms from the above categories, by understanding their pain points and evaluating how analytics as a solution could address some or most of these pain points, we intend to provide our recommendations on a potential product that Nanobi Analytics could target rolling out to address the analytics needs of the SMB sector in India.
