dc.descriptionThe Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), New Delhi, entrusted to the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B) a project for studying different aspects of management of imported technology in selected public enterprises in India. IIM-B during the course of this study contacted a number of public enterprises and had discussions with some chief executives and senior officials of enterprises dealing with management of technology. As part of the efforts to gather data for the preparation of this report, SCOPE-IIMB organised a Workshop for the Chairman and Managing Directors and technology managers and research chiefs of selected public enterprises, policy makers in the Government and institutions of R&D in India. The Workshop was held in Bangalore during December 17-19, 1984.-
