dc.description.abstractIf we are born in this world as a result of our karmas, it is equally important to understand that karmas can be exhausted through service to others. It is of course critical that such service is unselfish, pure and devoid of personal sectarian interest. This perhaps explains why spiritual masters often say that the only purpose of our birth lies in performing service to others. The idea lies in inspiring the spiritual seeker to the notion of selfless service. There are three powers given to all human beings by the Supreme Being including the power of will, the power of wisdom and the power of action, otherwise known as iccha shakti, jnana shakti or kriys shakti.
