dc.description.abstractLast week I was doing a session with Income Tax commissioners on leadership. My opening question in the session was “What has changed in your organisation in the last decade?”. The fi ve aspects that had changed in their context was — technology, speed, tax payer’s expectation that they would be treated like customers, transparency and regulatory context. As you are read this, I am sure several of you who are from the corporate sector are asking, “How different is this from what I am experiencing”. Intensifi ed competition in global markets requires that organisations become more effi cient and effective. Changing public policy dynamics has forced the private, public, Government and the not for profi t sectors to partner and create new and emerging hybrid forms of organisations. It would be no exaggeration to state that technology is changing profoundly and fundamentally the way we live and work.....
