Abstract

Lotus forex limited is a growing organization that wants to enter the niche segment of servicing the financial needs of cargo ships by positioning itself as a boutique bank. For that purpose, they require concrete information on the financial requirements of a ship as it is chartered for voyage and also the modes used by the ship management companies make these payments. To that end research was carried out by the trainee at the company and the findings of the research were used to propose new financial services that are implementable and deliver value to the companies in the shipping sector in the Asia Pacific region.
