dc.description.abstractDeloitte Hyderabad is part of Deloitte US and serves clients in mostly US. The projects team comprises members from both Hyderabad office and US office. The strategy and operations consulting has been further segregated into groups on the basis of industry practice. Certain groups have over the years achieved expertise in certain areas. Deloitte Hyderbad has become a center for expertise in supply chairr management and Hyderabad office is usually engaged on any project on supply chain. Internship started with introduction to Deloitte and followed by training sessions on consulting skill. These were crucial for rest of the internship. During internship I was staffed on two projects (details in next section) - one on supply chain cost assessment tool development and other was network optimization for heating and cooling equipment manufacturer in US. We were assigned to projects on second week and we worked as a member of group to which we were assigned. We had midterm presentation of project in fifth week of internship. After this review each intern was given feedback for improvement also to diversify the work content. At the end we had final presentation to all the responsible teams about our projects. During internship we had regular interactions with leadership of Hyderabad practice in the form of lunches or scheduled meetings. These sessions were purely ~ interactive and very helpful from point of view of understanding consulting. There was group of consultants who were assigned to us as buddies. We had by-weekly review about our internship with this team. This took care of all personal and any issues with projects and teams. Also during the internship there were many partners in India and we got really great opportunity to interact with them. Everything from consulting to Deloitte was discussed in such interactions.
