Title: | Analysis of Asian bond markets; Citigroup Global Markets, Singapore | Authors: | Dhall, Karan | Keywords: | Trading;Asian bond markets;Financial services;Trading bonds | Issue Date: | 2010 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_SP_P10_041 | Abstract: | The duration of the internship was 10 weeks. The first part of the internship involved shadowing traders trading in different countries. This lasted for the first week. For the next three weeks, I was involved in a project that called for documenting the local regulations and taxation issues for trading bonds in Asian countries. All the information was collected with respect to foreign investors who wish to trade in these countries. After completing the documentation, I gave a presentation on the same to the sales team of the desk. For the next two weeks, I prepared a excel sheet for Mr. Shubhajeet Parida which basically priced forward Overnight Indexed Swaps. For the remainder of the internship period, I was simultaneously involved in two projects. One involved predicting the inflation rate for the month of May for India. This project was under the guidance of Mr. Subodh Kumar, the strategist with the desk. The other involved an analysis of costs that would help in deciding whether Citigroup used the services of Singapore Exchange (SGX) as a clearing member. This project was under the guidance of Mr. Andrew Howarth, Business Manager Citigroup Singapore. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/16651 |
