Exploring opportunities for PE investments in India; Rothschild Private Equity

Abstract

The objective was to study the Indian hospitality industry and Logistics industry to analyze the market opportunity and narrow down on potential targets for investment. The other project undertaken was deal work in two investments the company was planning to make in the hospital space and infrastructure services space. The study on the Indian hospitality industry involved understanding of the industry dynamics, the growth drivers, future forecasting of the industry, performance of key players and analysis of their financial results. The deal work involved a primary market survey in areas where the hospital chain operated, client meetings to fully understand their growtb plans, financial modeling to value the company and also analyzing the performance of comparable companies and comparable deals. The deal work in the infrastructure services company involved preparation of term sheet and valuing the company based on comparables abroad.
