Title: | Strategic sourcing of commercial refrigeration equipment across europe; Global eProcure, Mumbai | Authors: | Saxena, Mayank | Keywords: | Strategic sourcing;Refrigeration equipment | Issue Date: | 2010 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_SP_P10_148 | Abstract: | The internship started on Monday, April 5th, 2010 and ended on Thursday, June 10th, 201O.During the 10 weeks of my internship, I primarily worked on the project that involved Strategic Sourcing of commercial refrigeration equipment acr:osa variousoountries in Europe. Apart from this, I also helped my project manager and team with small jobs such as spreadsheet based analysis and making presentation decks for various purposes. The induction process for the summer internship program was spread over the first two days of the internship. During this time, we were given training on the strategic sourcing and structured communication. Apart from this we were also given detailed overview of how to use company's resources and proprietary tools. One of the most important part of the induction process was that the founder and the current President of the company took out time from their busy schedules to brief us about the history and mission and vision of the program and how the summer internship program fits into it. During the course of my internship, I worked under the guidance of Mr. Manish Sharma (Manager, Consulting) and my buddy was Mr. Ashutosh Karnik. The most noteworthy thing during my internship was the clarity of thought and expression with which each every aspect of the project was explained to me. The kind of clarity and dept!! that my guide brought into our discussions was almost unparalleled. Some of the most important and enlightening decision that I had with the consulting team at Global eProcure was during my mid-term and end term feedback and review -sessionS". At'th:e start of the internship itself we were handed over our review sheets with clear goals and objectives listed. My manager was very insightful in his feedback and provided clear directions on how to improve my skills and knowledge. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/16795 |
