Abstract: The internship programme started on 5th of April, 2010 with an introduction about the :firm and investment banking in particular. The investment banking in Anand Rathi is divided into 8 sectoral teams. Each sectoral team made a presentation about their sector, prospect & opportunities, the mandates they are working on and the key takeaways for the summer interns. Next, based on our preferences we were allocated to different sectoral teams. I was allocated to the Financial Services & Industrial Goods Sector (FIG). In the 9 weeks as a summer intern I worked on various live and prospective deals in these sectors and additionally on education sector in India as well with specific deliverables and strict deadlines attached to them. Using data sites such as Bloomberg & Factset and attending conference calls went in conjugation to the above.
