I joined at Kolkata location and there were other interns too from several B Schools including IIM Bangalore. On the very first day of our joining, a presentation was given by senior HR informing all the policies, rules and norms of organization. Each person was assigned a project guide under :wham_he was. supposed to work. After the presentation we were dispersed to talk to our project guide. After the formal introduction to guide over telephone (As my project guide was in Singapore) I was told about my work. Over the course of my internship, I was handed different tasks and worked under several senior research analysts assigned by project guide. Summary of my work is as follow: 1. Analyze the tariff structure of telecom companies operating in AP AC countries and provide a thorough analysis to a respected telecom company eying to enter one of such markets. 2. Analyze the regulatory framework of emerging countries; identify the best· practices and parameters for comparison of regulatory effectiveness across all the countries under study, and prepare a detailed report presented to government of an AP AC country looking for laying down an effective policy framework in the country to facilitate the growth of broadband and telecom . 3. Perform primary and secondary research to find telecom and broadband related data for AP AC countries, analyze the industry level as well as macroeconomic factors to identify feasibility and profitability of operation in such countries, and forecast the future growth and market share of all incumbents operating out oftnese countries. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/16864 |
