Abstract: The internship began on 12th of April with the first day being spent in the corporate office of Wi pro Consumer Care and Lighting at Sarjapur, Bangalore. The day long orientation session included sessions on the history of company & the Wipro Spirit Mr. K.R. Kulkarni, Head of Training, Wellness head and WIPRO Ombudsman. There were sessions from Sales Head, Marketing Head and the HR team for the interns also. Finally, I was intimated about the project and was told to contact Mr. Rajesh Kannath, Regional Head, Lighting division at Bannerghatta road office. I met my Mr. Kannath next day and he told me about the project and the deliverables expected. I spent the remaining week moving around in the market alomg with Sales officers to try and grasp the understanding of the market. The next week was spent in preparing the plan of action for-the project"mong ." with formulation of questionnaires. Three sets of questionnaire for project, one each for Wholesalers, Retailers and Consumers. Next, two weeks were spent getting primary data from the-wholesale-min Bangalore and Mysore markets. Chikpet market and KT Road market were covered in Bangalore and Mysore respectively for the same. Weeks 5 & 6 were spent getting primary data from the retail market wmcn included the whole of urban Bangalore and complete Mysore. Week 7 was spent getting consumer survey administered to end users. All the surveys were personally administered by yours truly and most of the times, field was visited without any sales officer so that any sort of bias is reduced in the responses. Last week of internship was spent in the preparation .. afwholesala activation strategy and preparation of the presentation. I delivered my final presentation to my Project Guide on 21st of June in Bannerghatta office as he was not available on 1st of June when the presentation was delivered at corporate office.
