Abstract: The objective of the study conducted tor TTK Pharma was to find out the attitudes and usage patterns of Herbal/Ayurvedic over the counter drugs among its users. With this objective a market survey was conducted among the users of Herbal/Ayurvedic products in the city of Bangalore. A sample size of 100 was fixed. The findings of the stud}' in brief are: The profile of Ayurvedic/Herbal products users is skewed towards middle upper middle class. Vitalizers, liver correctives, laxatives, chavanaprash, and garlic pearls are amongst the widely used Ayurvedic/Herbal products. There is a market for vitalizers, preferably to be promoted ethically. Demand for chavanaprash is evening out, in fact there is a negative growth in the recent years. Liver correctives market is totally captured by Himalaya company's LIV52 very difficult to displace it from that position. Ranbaxy's Garlic pearls has become a generic name. Market potential uncertain. The attitudes of most of users towards the Ayurvedic/Herbal products is that they are effective, good value for money and they have no side reactions.
