Abstract: The objective of the project was to develop a set of independent training modules at the operator and the supervisory level. Training needs were identified through interaction with the operators and through feedback from the PA & DP process (the appraisal system used by Birla 3M). At the operator level, it was found that there was a need for a “process revisit” Accordingly modules were developed on 4 important departments of the company. The idea behind these modules was to give operators an overview of the processes Involved, and skills required and to develop some amount of interdepartmental mobility. At the supervisory level, the project involved developing six modules - on managing change, managing conflict, time management, managing meetings, planning and leadership skills. A sub-project vas done as part of the team directing the effort for ISO registration. A comprehensive list of documents was compiled and a general procedure for control of these documents was developed as part of my project.
