dc.description.abstractThe Electrical equipment industry can be divided into three segments : (i )Generation : Turbines, Generators and affiliated Equipment (ii )Transmission : Transformers, Switchgear, Cables ete. (iii ) Utilisation : Motors, Bulbs, etc. The first two segments account for 80% of the industry output. It is believed that 1 KVA of generation will require 7 KVA of transmission equipment and 5 KVA of Utilisation equipment.
