The survey was carried out on a sample of 65 clients confined to the cities of Bombay and Madras. The sample was made of large corporate users of the following categories... Accounts which are predominantly Wipro. Accounts where Wipro has a marginal presence. Accounts where orders were expected The sample however had a larger number of predominantly Wipro clients and hence some biases may have crept in as mentioned in the Executive summary. The visits to Accounts where orders were expected was conducted on the basis of tips received from the local offices. However the number of such visits were negligible as compared to the other two. The Questionnaire was the main tool used to gather the information from the survey. The Questionnaire was first pre-tested on a sample of three clients in Bangalore city. Based on the feedback from this sample and the suggestions of the Marketing Personnel at Wipro Infotech, a few modifications were made to arrive at the final questionnaire. The survey was conducted by the interviewer as part of a larger study being conducted across industries on the service levels of the various vendors. This was done to ensure that the data collected was as unbiased as possible, the answers more open.
