dc.description.abstractThe Market Research on the Potential of Retail and Commercial Lending in Shimla was done during the period April-May 1995 by Sandeep Gupta of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. The broad research objectives were as follows: - to identify the various criterion on which people choose a particular lending agency - to identify the total lending potential in the various segments. - to find out the level of customer satisfaction with the bank. The research was basically exploratory in nature. it was accomplished by direct administration of formal questionnaire as well as by means of informal talks between the researcher and the respondent. The sample was broadly categorised into Business person, Priority Sector./ Self Employed Professionals, and Salaried personnels.
