Abstract: India's Consumer Electronics Industry witnessing a new era. Audio market leader Philips is attacked by competitors now and then. In spite of good infrastructure Philips CTV has very low market share. In the B/W TV market Texla, Uptron, Salora, Weston, startrack, Crown and T. Series. have substantial market share. Exclusive counters of Philips are slowly disappearing. With the increasing competition dealer is becoming more and more demanding. Philips scored very low compare to competitors BPL, Videocon, Onida, Optonica and Texla in the area of Servicing, Delivery Time, Discounts Offered to deal er., Schemes Offered to Dealers, Attitude of Sales Personnel and Delivery Personnel. Most of the dealers unhappy becaue of price disparity. They blame company for this. All the major competitors have branch offices near to dealer, but Philips still operates with only one main office at Dehi.
