dc.description.abstractTelecom regulator (TRAI) has mandated compulsory digitisation of cable TV transmission across the country, and the transition for the whole of India is planned to be completed by December 2014 (transition already completed for many Tier I and Tier II cities). It is in this context that this study is being carried out with the objective of identifying new opportunities that have emerged for DTH (Direct to Home) players and recommend strategies to tap the same.
