Vision 2020: Technology @IIM Bangalore

Abstract

Technology is advancing at a rapid pace, leading to a vast range of opportunities in the education sector. While there are many advantages associated with the growth of technology in the education sector such as student learning and better internal processes, there are also a lot of limitations such as the obsolescence of technology and the costs associated with it. In order to deal with this situation, one has to analyze upcoming digital trends in the education space, so as to adequately plan the procurement and usage of IT in the future. As outlined in our proposal, in order to develop a roadmap for technology at IIM Bangalore, we propose the creation of a digital “Vision 2020” report for IIMB. This report will describe a number of key current and future technological trends and how these can be integrated into the educational system at IIM Bangalore to bring it to the forefront of technology in management education.
