Title: | Developing a model for population growth | Authors: | Mishra, Abhay Meghani, Hitesh |
Keywords: | Demography;Demographic processes;Demographic models;Population growth | Issue Date: | 2011 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_CCS_P11_072 | Abstract: | Demographic models are used to represent the demographic processes with mathematical functions by relating demographic variables that are quantifiable and measurable, applied to the study of population dynamics. Population growth is a ubiquitous phenomenon in biological populations. Statisticians and analysts attempt to capture the trends in this phenomenon to allow a better understanding of complex interactions and processes. Although the demographic processes may seem to work in a stochastic fashion, a number of patterns can be discerned using population modeling. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/18206 |
