The purpose of the project is to study and find out the challenges faced by the power plants in disposing the ash produced as a by-product by the thermal power plants and come up with ideas to implement for the proper and effective disposal of ash. The project will be aimed at analyzing the best practices prevalent in the industry and deriving the best options available given the set of factors- geographical, economic and political etc. Our datapool will be centred on feedbacks received from industry representatives, data collected from plants and secondary data through internet and textbooks, wherever required. We intend to achieve 100% per cent ash utilisation. The options generated should be financially-viable, environment friendly, implementable and long term sustainable.
