SJIC&R is a super specialty hospital for heart diseases and is considered to be one of the largest heart-care destinations in Asia Pacific region. It is spread on a sprawling 13 acres of land in Jayanagar and has dedicated 540 bed capacity for treating in patients. It has got state of art equipments and facilities which includes five Cathlabs, seven operation theatres, non – invasive laboratories, and 24X7 intensive care unit facilities. The hospital has recently built in a new outpatient department (OPD) with all the facilities to provide fast services to cater to the time conscious segment of the population. SJIC&R has been recording 250% growth consequently for the last two years. Last year it treated an overwhelming number of 2, 42,000 out-patients, and 24,500 inpatients, out of which 13,000 inpatients were treated at a subsidized cost. Currently the hospital records an average of 800 to 1000 visits from patients daily. About 3000 open heart surgeries, 10,000 Coronary Angiograms, 5000 procedures including Angioplasties and Valvuloplasties were done in the hospital last year.
