dc.description.abstract | L&T Komatsu has a wide portfolio of construction industry equipments and is a leading player in the Indian market. Excavators are a class of heavy earthmoving equipment, and the comes in various tonnages. The higher the tonnage of the excavator, the heavier jobs it can handle. L&T Komatsu were already the market leader in the premium 20T segment with its PC200-6 excavator, and they are now coming up with a better excavator with state of the art technology named PC210LC-8, and wants to know the possibilities of positioning the excavator in the market such that they can continue with the current model of excavator which is percieved as a highly reliable product, and at the same time sell the new product too. The 20T segment mainly caters to the construction industry unlike the higher tonnage excavators that cater more to the mining purposes. | |
