Abstract: Economist analysts anticipate a global recession of -2.5% in 2009 (industrialized countries: -3.9% and emerging countries: 0.7%). This crisis situation accentuates the risk and put at the center of debates the risks analysis. The phenomenon of globalization engaged for nearly fifty years, revealed last twenty years has brought profound changes, both in countries and business. The global economy has generated several consequences; in particular intense competition, complex systems and a proliferation of risks .Risks are now days linked to every important society issues The risk aversion of contemporary societies forces them to anticipate, analyze it and cover them to protect their tangible and intangible assets (reputation, identities ...). We will analyze in the first part what are the different types of risk, in the second part we’ll see what are the different methods of assessing this risk and how anticipate and coverage against risks. India will be our application example throughout our analysis.
