dc.description.abstractThe current project was floated by NSRCEL as a ‘live entrepreneurship project’ and undertaken by us as a Contemporary Concerns Study for Term V. The inventor of Transplantable Artificial Kidney (TAK) is Budhaditya Chattopadhyay who is working with Acropetal Technologies Limited, Bangalore acting as current incubator and Investor for Budhaditya. The person leading the project from the side of Acropetal is Mr Padmanabha Holla, who has past experience with Philips Healthcare in similar initiatives. The project steps taken by us were: - Understanding of Kidney failure and related biological concepts. *Analyzing the size of renal failure market. *Discovering the current state of the product and team supporting it. *Using primary and secondary research to explore market potential. *Creating marketing strategy and operational plan through self analysis and relating to similar medical products. *Researching regulatory approvals needed to bring the product to market - Devising financial statements and a funding strategy.
