dc.description.abstract | The film industry presents a huge potential with revenues to the tune of INR 83 billion in 2010. The growth potential is immense with 2015 revenues projected at INR 132 billion. What is peculiar and interesting in this industry is that it presents opportunities in every region, language and creative form. A movie, if you look closely, is nothing but an amalgamation of different creative forms – screenplay, choreography, music, direction etc. We will here focus on the production and distribution aspects of a movie – the changes post 2005 (year industry status was accorded to films), the emerging trends and the challenges going forward. | - |
