dc.description.abstract | India is one of the fastest growing economies in Asia and in the world. Except for the current decline in its Gross Domestic product (GDP), India has been able to maintain a healthy growth rate in excess of 8% over the years from 2004-2010. This high growth rate has fuelled the demand for power in the country and the demand is expected to grow in the coming years. In spite of the growing demand for power in the country, there is a significant lag in demand and supply. | |
