This study presents us with the unique opportunity to contrast the functioning of a public (Government) entity with that of a private entity that too in such a fast-paced changing environment of logistics provision. India Post is the largest postal services entity in the whole world and it is extremely interesting to see it balance the needs of serving every possible customer with the new changing requirements of the logistics market such as Cash-on-Delivery. We saw there the system of India Post is riddled with challenges, both big and small. As the output of our study, we hope to resolve a few of these problems for India Post both on a qualitative and a quantitative basis.
