dc.description.abstract | This study presents us with the unique opportunity to study, analyze and understand the functioning of an industry that is directly responsible for the economic growth of the country. None of the infrastructure projects can start and finish on schedule without a constant supply of cement, which is the primary input of the construction industry. We decided to start with analyzing the attractiveness of the industry. Thereafter we looked at the key success factors that are imperative for a firm to be successful in this industry. We then looked at the recent trend of mergers and acquisitions in the industry and finished our project by looking at the sustainability of the industry. We were able to understand some major trends in the industry that represent the development of Indian economy. It was also a learning exercise for us to know about the chemical composition of the fundamental building block in today’s world and its manufacturing process. | |
