Keywords: | Supply Chain;Procure-to-pay system;P2P system | Issue Date: | 2018 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_CCS_P18_090 | Abstract: | With the identified benefits of implementing the P2P system and integrating the upstream and downstream departments, companies have been seeing significant improvements both quantitatively and qualitatively. But even after putting in efforts, some companies still face problems to implement the P2P process. The transition has been very difficult and there were some casualties along the way. Quoted from a McKinsey article: “Through countless hours of hard work, leading companies have pushed through a wide range of improvements which have paid off. But it has not always been an easy trek. There have been, and continue to be, casualties along the way. These include strategic roles getting pulled back into transactional work, an inability to achieve identified contract savings, ongoing data management sustainment challenges, and backsliding on earlier achievement.” The research objective of this report would be to understand the process along with its current market trends. Study various industry case studies. With all the primary and secondary data collected, we intend to solve a live case to integrate P2P system in a manufacturing firm. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/19314 |
