Domestic help is treated as a profession and categorized as low social status job. Domestic workers work and provide a range of services in the employer’s house, so that the employer can work outside or the burden of household work on the employer is less. They perform variety of household work from cleaning the house to even taking care of the employers’ children sometimes. Especially for the elderly people, domestic helpers are someone who they are greatly dependent on. They maybe part time or full time. The helpers might be living in the employer’s house or nearby or maybe just coming for work and living in their own household.
