dc.description.abstract | Imagine a month when there is an issue in the amount of salary credited to your account than was expected. What do you do? You go back and check the salary slip. Now, if you do not have access to salary slip to check for this issue, what will you do? This is the case with contract security staff workers at IIMB. They have a limited access to their own payslips. We have analysed and recommended solutions to this issue a project. While IIMB is an equal opportunity employer, the contract workers (security guards) may not directly fall under its purview. However, IIMB being one of the most premier institutes in the country, the life of contract workers can help us unravel and understand the system better. We have carried out this project to check for best practices and shortcomings faced by contract workers at IIMB with regards to their pay packages. The project is a social audit based on one-to-one direct interactions with security staff, and the report presents the real picture based on these narrations. | |
