Abstract: Under the guidance of Prof. Amar Sapra from IIM Bangalore and Mr. Shekar Tyagi and Mr.Shishir from Shahi Exports, a CCS project has been done for improving the on time performance of vendors of Shahi Exports. Shahi Exports is also known as The Foxconn of garment manufacturing in India is the largest manufacturer in the country. Their major clients include companies like Zara, Alley Solly et cetera. As a part of the project three factory visits were done. In the first one basic manufacturing process and the overview of the entire process was understood. In the second meeting, the General manager of Sourcing was consulted to get a holistic view of the process and to understand the implication of sourcing problems over the company and finally in the third meeting, executives from the sourcing department were interviewed to get to know about the day to day operational problems in this department. From our visits we understood that there are few whitespaces in the process which we have addressed in the text to follow. Also, we have developed a framework for capturing the health and performance of vendors and using this frame we have suggested suitable strategies in dealing with vendors which is aligned to improve their delivery performance without sacrificing quality.
