Events at work have real emotional impact on participants. The aftereffects of emotional states at the workplace, both attitudes and behaviors, have substantial significance for individuals, groups, and society. They have a direct impact on individual as well as organization’s performance. Positive emotions such as happiness, love, excitement and surprise etc., in the workplace help employees obtain favorable outcomes including achievement, job enrichment and higher quality social context. Negative emotions, such as anger, hostility, stress, fear, guilt and sadness, however increase the predictability of workplace deviance, and how the outside world views the organization. They have a direct impact on individual as well as organization’s performance. Presently, the online work environment due to pandemic is posing new challenges in managing emotions. Hence, the awareness on this and training is required for better organizational results. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/19582 |
