dc.description.abstract | This study aims to conduct critical analysis of the operations of GeM (Government e-Marketplace) – the first-ever unified electronic platform for the procurement of various goods and services by Indian government agencies. We aim to compare some key features of GeM with those of established private electronic commerce platforms such as Taobao, Amazon, etc., and other government electronic marketplaces. We also recommend future directions for GeM to enhance the user experience by improving the end-to-end quality of the marketplace, including improvements in the current vendor rating system. | |
