dc.description.abstractBanking sector in any country is intertwined with all the sectors that are open to avail bank credit. In effect, the performance of the banking sector should show direct correlation with the performance of the overall economy. This study intends to show this correlation through study and comparison of past data relating the performance of the Indian economy and that of the banks in India.
