dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this project is to understand the functioning of a multi-national semiconductor design and manufacturing company and reduce the overall lead time in the delivery of the final goods. The company provides wireless products/services to various industries like aerospace, defence, automotive industries, home appliances, consumer electronic, etc. The objective was to find out the pain points that is leading to the current miss of deadline and provide possible recommendations that would enable the delivery of the finish goods 7 days prior to the promised date. Our study was not limited to any family of products and the study was made at an overall company level information. Once the pain points are identified the recommendations are in the form of possible scenarios and their solutions which if solved by the company would help them deliver better services to their clients. To achieve the true benefits of the recommendations, the company would have to go for an operational deep dive into each activity related to the solution and make the changes on ground. | |
