Newspapers are the most prominent and inexpensive form of print media to reach huge mass of people quickly. Magazines, banners, books brochures and flyers are other popular types of print media. Print media, especially the newspaper is facing a major revolution in the internet era. Circulation rates have been declining in Australia, New Zealand, Western Europe, Latin America and America. The trends observed in Indian print media are quite contradictory. Indian Audit bureau of circulation report dated May 2017 states that print circulation has grown 60% from 39.1 million copies in 2006 to 62.8 million in 2016. Yet, advent of technology has caused severe disruptions to print media all over the world. This project aims to study and analyse the changes and disruptions caused in print media due to advent of technology, most importantly internet. The detailed study will focus on Indian print industry and the reasons for its sustenance in internet age. It also describes the modern Indian print media in purview of its adaptations to digital revolution.
