dc.description.abstract | What is your mission in life? Have you ever asked yourself this question? Most probably yes. Or perhaps some similar questions such as: what do I do here? What is the meaning of life? Do I have any particular purpose? What's the path I should follow? These are not questions that we think about every day, but in some critical moments in our life. Normally when something goes wrong, when our feelings are confused, when we feel alone and lost... I sought to focus on this project since the day that our professor asked us: “What is your mission in life?” At the age of 28, with five years of work experience, international studies and a master’s degree, I could not answer it. I might have thought about it before, but the answer was never clear. Instead, I had pictures in my mind about the life I would like to live, about meeting success, making my parents proud and being able to have a happy life. I didn’t understand until recently, that is your mission what gets me there. And then again, what is a mission? And how to find it? In this essay I will try to bring more clarification about what exactly a mission is, why is it important and how to find it. In addition, I will bring some examples of people that have found it in order to analyse what do they have in common, what path did they follow and how this have affected their life. | |
