Abstract: We started with understanding the operations, stakeholders, current and future focussed business models and competitors of Settlrs. We have discussed with the team and understood that the key challenges faced by them: they don’t have an automatic system for daily order processing and are in need of standardized systems for onboarding vendors. Whenever they had to onboard a vendor their details had to be entered manually, so we developed a standard format with all necessary vendor details that can be incorporated into ERP or any online platform. This can be floated to vendor for details and once filled the details are recorded for future reference. Today there is no Asset Tracking system with Settlrs, thus it is difficult to trace a particular asset such as its location, customer’s location, service history, cost details, vendor details etc. Once they scale then it would be extremely challenging to manage their operationsif they are not able to maintain database regarding their assets. So the team decided to setup an Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system where all the details related to an asset such as its vendor details, features, customer details, costs, service history are saved. Each asset will be given a QR code and tagged with unique ID. Whenever we need details of the asset we can trace all the details related to that asset using a single unique ID. So we designed the database architecture for their ERP system. Here all the details such as product features, costs, vendor, customer, service details are tagged to its unique ID. Such an asset tracking system helps to retrieve all asset details easily with a single ID, thus helps to manage their operations efficiently.
