dc.description.abstract | We wanted to understand whether playing indoor online/computer/PS/Xbox games vs outdoor games have a significant impact on consumer buying behavior or not. To study the buying behavior, we took consumption of fast food by the consumers. It would be useful in understanding if brands can market their products in respective forums of online games cs outdoor games to nudge consumers in purchasing the brands’ products. Process: We made a questionnaire asking the consumers whether they would want to consume their favorite fast food like burger, pizza, etc. after they have played their preferred games (indoor vs outdoor). We took the outdoor responses when the respondents have played close to 15-20 minutes and we took indoor responses when the respondents have played close to 10 minutes. We also asked them if they considered their fast foods to be healthy or not. Outcomes: It was observed that consumers playing indoor online/computer/PS/Xbox games are more inclined to purchase and consume their favorite fast foods than those who are playing outdoor games. Albeit, there is not much difference in their perception towards the fast foods being unhealthy as both indoor and outdoor players considered their fast foods to be unhealthy. | |
