Title: | Exploring paths to happiness | Authors: | Jojy, Issac | Keywords: | Happiness;Illogical notions;Ignorant child;Interrogator | Issue Date: | 2015 | Publisher: | Indian Institute of Management Bangalore | Series/Report no.: | PGP_CCS_P15_059 | Abstract: | From an individual micro-level perspective, this exploratory research looks at alternate paradigms to look at happiness to see whether stress levels can be brought down in people’s lives. From the time a person is born till the end of life, several illogical notions are built into the person by society. These notions heavily influence the way the person looks at life and defines the person’s happiness. This work explicitly states out what these notions are, giving examples of how these notions affect people and induce stress. Understanding these notions and working on them will help individuals modify the mental models running on their brains and in the process, help in dealing with stress in a better way. From a societal macro-level perspective, this work aims to scale the alternate paradigms about happiness using pure management theory, as well as references from other fields, to create a road map for creating sustainable world peace – a society where stress levels are reduced compared to the current levels. | URI: | https://repository.iimb.ac.in/handle/2074/20140 |
