dc.description.abstract | The report begins with the factual analysis of the enrolment rates of health insurance in India and proceeds with the reasons for the low penetration level of the same. The rising healthcare cost has created a high potential for health insurance in the country, however because of the high premium costs involved it is still perceived to be a service affordable only by the rich. This report talks about why India as a country should push everyone to sign up for health insurance and how it can be made affordable for everyone. The report introduces the term of wellness insurance as a means for achieving higher health costs coverage and recommends the way forward in ensuring a healthy India. | |
